I am a Brazilian Psychologist with more than twenty years of experience.
I offer psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. My primary approach is integrative where I use psychodynamic theory where childhood experiences are explored. My work is influenced by the needs and personal objectives of each person. Whether these needs are to come to terms with changes, crises, illness, grief to alleviate stress and anxiety, improve existing relationships or build self-esteem. The work aims to make new ways and practical changes that will bring a more positive and satisfying approach to life and dealings with everyday issues.
Psychology is not a cake recipe that fits all; the final objective is to find together with clients new paths of living to deal with their concerns.
I am a registered member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), which sets and maintains standards of proficiency and conduct for health professionals it regulates. It is the highest level of membership a health professional can achieve and it is pre-determined professional requirements to work at the NHS.
I am a British Psychological Society (BPS) member in the UK. I still keep links with the profession in Brazil being a registered member of the Regional Council of Psychology (CRP).
I keep my professional development up-to-date by attending post-graduate courses, seminars and conferences in Brazil and UK.
